Making the leap… my very first blog post!

Well here it is: my inaugural post.

I’d like to begin this blogging adventure by thanking you for tuning in and taking the time to check out my new blog.

This part of my writing life should be fun, a little quirky and a great way for you to get to know me better – and vice versa. I hope I can do so without boring you to pieces. If you ever have a thought you wish to share, a bit of your life, please comment below.

Beyond my Bio and the Q & A form here on my blog, you’ll receive a snapshot of who I am, what I’m about, and what it’s like to be a writer.

If you decide to go along for the ride, you will have to suffer through the occasional spelling error – yes, I encourage every writer I know to use professional editors for their books. As I always say, and what I face when writing or reading anything: misspellings and jumbled words are part of who I am. Dyslexia and writing don’t necessarily skip down the path of life together holding hands. In fact I’m pretty sure they vowed to hate each other back in kindergarten.

I am a mother of three amazing girls, a wife, a dog lover, a chocolate freak, an adventure enthusiast, and borderline sports nut.

I love a glass of good red wine, a double tall nonfat latte and an I-can’t-put-it-down book.

Because I live in the Pacific Northwest, on an island in the middle of The Puget Sound, I have an amazing collection of cute rain boots and heavy waterproof jackets. Fortunately though, it doesn’t rain all the time and when the sun comes out there is no place I’d rather be.
