Working with an Illustrator
I can’t draw. My stick figures even look like piles of twigs.
However, The illustrator I get to work with on ARRGH! rocks! Working with him has been an absolute rush.
When I start a book I have pictures in my mind which I try to bring to life with words.
Thank goodness, or things might look like this and I would never be published.
But Mike… here, let me show you.
This is one of the perks of being represented by a small publishing house. I get to be involved. My publisher lets me call the shots.
We start with an idea, then go back and forth discussing what we want an image to resemble and then something magical happens.
See what I mean? And these are just the roughs.
Here let me show you how he does it…
Cool, right?
Can’t wait to share the real thing with you on November 27th when ARRGH! is released in paperback.
If you just can’t wait to read ARRGH! the ebook is being released today, however the illustrations won’t be added until later in a free ebook update.
Happy Reading – Stacey
