Mid Term Madness

Oh my, what a busy week!
I have spent roughly nine hours per day writing due to being on crutches after hip surgery.
My editors and I finished the last of the Whisper edits, which is now off to the typesetter.
I’ve been going over the last draft of my new middle grade pirate book before it goes to my editor, have finalized the title, for said book, and even started to work with designers on a cover.
Things are really moving along and it is an absolutely thrilling ride.
But now my girls are home for the week, and I find I am being pulled away from my keyboard. Mommy duties call and they will always be my first priority.
Leigh’s field hockey team has made provincials (think state playoffs Canadian style), which is a rather exciting opportunity and a huge deal for the team; games start on Wednesday.
There are dresses to buy for winter dances, food to be bought to resupply dorm rooms, and the dreaded holiday family Christmas card picture to try and take – wish me luck.
So for now I will leave you with a couple of pictures of the girls who inspire me; my princess, my ghost hunter, and my mystery solver.
Happy reading – Stacey
