The Best Way to Start the New Year

The best way to start the New Year is to hear from you the reader!
I can’t even begin to tell you how the simplest word from someone who’s enjoyed a book I’ve written still takes my breath away.
Hearing from readers and seeing them at events is such a treat.
I got the most wonderful letter from a parent of a reader who struggles with dyslexia; he said I was his daughter’s hero. She finished reading Hush in two days and wants to be a writer now. That little girl is my hero now too.
I’ve had several young readers send me pictures of their ARRGH! book reports already and recently found out that one fabulous Hush fan did an author report on me. I’m still blushing.
Now I am heading to 8 different schools in the next 2 months, I can’t wait! I’ll post pictures if I can, but for now I’ll leave you with these pictures from the school I visited last week where my daughters went when they were young. Go Fidalgo Falcons!
Happy Reading!
